Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 01 Cochin - Munnar
You will be welcomed at the airport/railway station by our executive, who will then drive you to Munnar. After checking in and freshening up, head out for a great time at Munnar. The first day in the hill station, dive straight into the heart of the nature. Trek in one of the hills in Munnar, like Meesapulimala, Echo Point or Top Station to catch a terrific view at the top. Visit Attukad Waterfalls and Lakkom Waterfalls for a break. Kunadala Lake is a serene spot if you are on the lookout for a place to have a quiet time unwinding.
Day 02 Munnar
The next day, you can start by visiting the Tata Tea Plantation where you can see workers plucking, processing and packing tea leaves. Don’t forget to take a stroll through the tea plantation. You can also visit the Eravikulam National Park to marvel at the thriving wildlife there up close. End the day on a beautiful note visiting the Mattuppetty Dam which offers a spectacular view of Munnar. If you have time, drop by at the nearby dairy farm.
Day 03 Munnar - Thekkady (3 Hours 10 Minutes – 92 Kms)
On the third day of your trip, you will visit another very popular hill station of Kerala, Thekkady. Visit the Periyar National Park, a protected reserve forest to start the tour on a green note. The Periyar Lake, one of the largest artificial lakes in India, too, is located close to the forest. You can engage in some boating here. However, the most interesting part and an experience you shouldn’t miss out on is the bamboo rafting, which is pretty much unique to Thekkady. If you have the time, you can make a short drive to nearby places like Kumily, Murikkady or Pullumedu to enjoy the greenery of the hills.
Day 04 Thekkady - Alleppey (3 Hours 34 Minutes – 138 Kms)
On the fourth day, you will be driven to one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kerala. An Alleppey tour is best started with a houseboat ride through the backwaters of Kuttanad and Vembanad Lake. Enjoy the ride in the accompaniment of some tasty food. The beaches in Alleppey, too are beautiful places worth spending time at. Visit the temples and churches to witness an integral part of their culture and lifestyle. Krishnapuram Palace, built by the King Marthandavarma during his reign, has now been converted into a museum, which makes for a very informative trip on Kerala’s culture and heritage.
Day 05 Departure
You will be driven back to the airport by our executive. With a rejuvenated self, as you return to your normal life, you are bound to tell yourself that such trips are what make life more meaningful.
